Comments on: Installing the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite (rough guide)

I’m a Oracle 8 OCP and now I’m again involved in Oracle Database side, the problem is that I don’t understand the what components do we need to install for Oracle Application Server 10G Release2 after Oracle 10G Release2 database creation.
Many examples are online but all are different.
I’m beginner in APPS side, so please some one help me out.

It will say that the product is not certified on XP (Professional) but I haven’t experienced any errors. One thing to make notice of is to set your browser security settings correct for application server gauges. I dont know any specific installation guides but ‘Oracle 10g Data Warehousing’ (ISBN 1555583229) gives a nice overview.

When I tried to install Appllication Server on my laptop it told me that it won’t work on Windows XP. Then it just got really, really confusing. Can you point to a decent and comprehensive installation guide for Apps Server specifically for Discoverer?
